McAuliffe Pig Farms, one of Ireland’s leading pig production enterprises, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) in Taiwan, forming a new international strategic alliance in support of the Ministry of Education’s “Sustainable Smart Swine Technology Research Center” initiative.
The partnership will foster cooperation in research, innovation, and talent development, building bridges between Irish and Taiwanese expertise in sustainable pig production and smart agricultural technologies.
Scope of Collaboration
Under the MoU, both parties will collaborate on a range of educational and research activities, including:
- Joint Lectures and Training – Faculty and technical personnel from both institutions will engage in lectures, hands-on training, internships, and project coordination.
- Academic Exchange and Events – Co-organization of academic seminars, workshops, and professional training to promote scientific dialogue and global best practice.
- Teaching and Digital Development – Co-development of modern teaching materials and digital content to enhance learning outcomes and technological adoption.
- Industry Engagement and Student Opportunities – Support for student internships, research projects, and entrepreneurship programs linking academia and industry.
